Say That Again?

Posted on: 26th Nov 2015 by: Ann Pettengell

If you're hoping to branch out into a new field, try to explain your responsibilities in language that can be understood by everybody.  For example, if you have been working in Accountancy there will be many phrases and acronyms that make complete sense to your current colleagues.  But, if you're hoping to move into Marketing it is highly likely that they won't make the slightest bit of sense.

You don't want to baffle your reader, you want them to know exactly what you've been up to/are capable of.  The only way to do this is to drop the acronyms and spell it out clearly.  Your reader will be very grateful.
